Monday Evening Reflection (Mika's Home, open) Empty Monday Evening Reflection (Mika's Home, open)

Mika looked around her home from her position standing behind the Island in the Kitchen. The home had an open feel, and she could see almost the whole first floor from her kitchen. She sighed lightly listening to the house. Sayomi hadn't come home yet, which was worrying her. She finished washing the dishes in her sink, and walked into the living room and looked out the windows. She had a good view of the city. On either side of the windows were pictures of Her, Shinji, and Sayomi. She walked over to a picture from their wedding day. She softly touched Shinji's smiling face, a gesture that had become second nature by now. Oh how she missed him.

She walked to the center of the room and lit some candles to ease her mind. She let her mind wander, and shadows swirl. She liked to do what a great teacher and friend once taught her. If she didn't face her past on a regular basis, then the nightmares would become too much for her to bear. She sat there in a meditative state, although because Sayomi wasn't home yet, she wouldn't dive fully into a dream so she would hear if someone came.

Sayomi finally came home late in the evening. Her eyes fell on her mother and she sighed. With a roll of her eyes she called to her "home. Going to bed. Have fun with that meditation crap." She stormed up to her room locking the door.

Mika sighed at her daughters return, at least she was back. Maybe one day Sayomi would become less hostile towards her, but today was certainly not the day. She blew out one of the candles and took the other to the mirror. Starring back into blue eyes she asked her reflection, "What are we going to do about her?" The blue eyes looked at her softly and she shook her head.
